re: Cloud Nothings
I think what I said yesterday about Cloud Nothings was received as a premature diss towards the band

when what I meant was that I just hadn’t listened to much of them and didn’t, for some reason, have high expectations, but wanted to give the album a shot because of how well it’s been received.
I listened through the album twice today and liked it a lot. It seems like the follow-up album Tokyo Police Club should have made. Dylan Baldi sounds whole a lot like Dave Monks. Actually, Cloud Nothings sounds a lot like Tokyo Police Club + angst - synths.
(This, surely, some will interpret as a negative comment on my part, comparing a currently well-respected band to a band that was kinda hot five years ago and now no one really talks about anymore. Take it how you will; I think it’s a good thing.)
